NORWEGIAN JOURNALIST WONDERED ALANYA IN HER FIRST VISIT.

Norwegian Journalist Tone Solheim who participated to a brifing of Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation during Norway Exhibition came to Alanya for visiting Mayor and Norwegian Association.
Norwegian Journalist Tone Solheim who participated to a brifing of Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation during Norway Exhibition came to Alanya for visiting Mayor and Norwegian Association.
Tone Solheim expressed her admiration for Alanya which she came for the first time.She said "I saw many places of Turkey before but I came to Alanya for the first time.I understood better now why Norwegian People buy houses from here"
As an answer to the question of Jone Solheim about the plans of municipality in order to protect the environment,Alanya Mayor Sipahioğlu said " We made a decision between the vehicles and city life.We transferred the heavy-duty vehicles to the high way and transformed them to pedestrian lanes.We arranged walking ways for citizens.We built bike stations in 20 different points.We worked on the environmental polution." Journalist Solheim got some information from Alanya Mayor about the working system of bikes in Alanya.
Alanya Mayor Sipahioğlu told that they have prepared a project for benefiting from the solar energy and they have already used the system in one of the parks. Norwegian Journalist Solheim told that Alanya had a rich history and asked the mayor whether they have any projects on Alanya Castle or not.
Alanya Mayor gave some information about the Red Tower-Tophane Axis Project;Marine and Shipping Museum.He also added that the works on Alanya Castle and dockyard for the candidation of UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List continued.
Alanya Mayor Sipahioğlu gave information about the marina and fishermen shelter and said "A lot of people from many different countries prefer Alanya for settling.Living in Alanya is very easy for retired people.Both shipping and marine tourisms are very important"
