Frankfurt Culture and Promotion Attache Rumeysa Çavuş who participated fair indicated that most of the tourists coming to Turkey was German and said ” Turkey has been very different than the other countries in terms of service,quality and accomodation in recent years.Turkey has a good future in tourism.We did some negotiations with the 10 biggest tour operators for 2009 season.There are very good projects which can attract tourist to Turkey.It is seen that last minute reservations will be a lot in this season.”

Despite the economic crisis,she told that an increase in the number of tourists in 2009 season was expected.She also gave the visitor number in 2008 as 31 million and the tourism revenue as 21 billion dollars.

Arzuhan Dalabasmaz participated to the fair as a representative of Alanya Chamber of CommerceÇavuş said ” Turkey will be one of the most popular destinations.One of the goals of Our ministry is attracting the qualified tourists from abroad.Golf tourism is being widespread in Antalya region by the time passes.We will continue to the attmepts”
Hakan Akbulut who is the Essen Consulate of Turkey participated to the exhibition which had 650 stands from 40 countries and he said ” İstanbul and Essen Cities are important in terms of being 2010 Culture Capitals”

İstanbul is promoted by İstanbul European Culture capital Agency.The Representative of the Agency Ebru Kuş Şen said ” we are expecting millions of tourists to come in 2010.Germany has a different place in foreign countries promotion campaign.Germany has the first place between the groups who visited İstanbul with its visitors exceeded 1 million”
Essen Consulate of Turkey hakan Akbulut visited Alanya Stand
Abdullah Karaoglu, Nurkan Sasmaz and Arzuhan Dalabasmaz from Alanya Chamber of Commerce participated the exhibition as representatives of Alanya.Alanya Municipality Foreign Affairs Supervisor Nurkan Şaşmaz made an explanation to AA Reporter and indicated that Alanya was a region which attracts tourist from Ruhr Basin and said
”The interest is greeted at the first day of the exhibition.We,as Alanya Municipality,participate the fair with Alanya Chamber of Commerce and Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation every year.This Essen Fair is vey important and indispensable for us.There are many Turkish People living in Ruhr Basin.We target both expariates and German People in here.We want to see our freemen in Alanya again.
The exhibition will be open till the 1st of March.
