Spiritual Leader of Pisidya Region Despot Sotirios Trambas which is dependent to Greek Orthodoks Church participated to the celebration in 150 years of Aya Yorgi Churc of Alanya.Despot Trambas prayed for Uygur Turks who were murdered in China.
Despot Sotirios Trambas came to Alanya with the chairman of the Alanya Association in Nea-Ionia Kosta Çobanakis and the people near him. Trambas who participated to the celebration at Aya Yorgi Church prayed for the Uygur Turks.The students and instructors of Yıldız Technical University Architecture Faculty who will make the restoration of the church participated to the celebration,too.5 pieces of bread were sliced and distributed to the people who were at the church.THEY VISITED MUNICIPALITY Despot Sotirios Trambas and the accompanied delegation visited Alanya Municipality after the celebration. Alanya Mayor Deputy Murat Kocak hosted his guests at municipality council Hall. He told that they had sistership relation with Nea- Ioania of Greece for 9 years.He said ” The students and instructors of Yıldız Technical University Architecture Faculty will work on Aya Konstantinos Church which takes place in Tophane District where Orthodoks lived before 1922,which is a candidate for Unesco World Heritage List.The analitical structure will be examined by the university.Then the church will be restorated.Besides that,Aya Yorgi Church is alienated from General Directorate of Foundations to Alanya Municipality.”
DESPOT WAS EXCITED Despot Sotirios Trambas a speech after deputy Murat Kocak.He said ”I am 80 years old and this is the first time I get excited very much.We are very sad because of the events that our Turkish brothers lived in China.We all come from Adam and Eve,we are all the children of God.I was very affected when I saw the restoration at Aya Yorgi Church.I will come back when the restoration is finished and we will make a grand opening ceremony.I believe the politicians will find the right way one day and they will not see the religion,language and race as a problem between them.Everything begins with love.You made me very happy,I would like to offer you my sincere thanks” Kocak and Trambas gave presents to each other.
