FIVB announced their 2009 Beach Volley calendar.Besides Swatch FIVB World Tour,Swatch FIVB chose Turkey for Swatch FIVB Youth World Championship.
Alanya Municipality which hosted FIVB World Tour and CEV European Championships since 1994 will host 2009 SWATCH FIVB Youth World Championship U19 organization this year between 19-23 August 2009. Alanya Municipality which is known as European Beach Volleyball Center and which hosts many national and international tournaments signed a contract with Su Ltd,Turkey Volleyball Federation and FIVB in order to implement Swatch FIVB Youth World Championship Tournament. Tournament which will host the best 24 male and 24 female volleyball players below 19 ages will begin with the elimination contest and the main table matches will begin on 20th of August 2009.
The teams which will take the first place will have right to participate SWATCH FIVB World Tour organizations. Alanya Mayor Hasan Sipahioglu made an explanation and said ” We are very happy to organize one of the world championships below 19 and 21 ages which is very much emphasized by International Volleyball Federation.We are one of the most importantan places in beach volley not only in Europe but also in the world.We are very excited that we will host many sportsmen from world and we will provide good time to our citizens and we will promote our city by the way of Tv channels.” We invite all sportfans to the U19 Beach Volleyball World Youth Championship which will take place in front of Milli Egemenlik Stadium.
