Turkey is hosting a World Championship in Beach Volley for the first time.
The press conference of the Beach Volley European Championship which will be held in front of Milli Egemenlik Stadium between 19 and 23 August was implemented at Kalamış Ristorante Il Faro.

Alanya Mayor Hasan Sipahioglu,the Chairman of Turkey Volleyball Federation Erol Unal Karabiyik and Dünya Baltacıoglu gave information at the press conference of the tournament which the sponsors also took place.They told that they were very happy to organize 2009 Swatch FIVB Youth World Championship and they believed that they would success in beach volley with the young players by moving the step sone by one.They added that FIVB Organization Director Angelo Squeo gave a great importance to this organization and said ”This kind of championships play an important role for obtaining new beach volley players.These players are going to gain madals in SWATCH FIVB World Tours and they are going to compete at Olympics.”
