SUN OF ANATOLIA GREETED THE STARS OF EUROPE FROM ALANYA

A Fabulous organization was implemented within the context of European Week Activities by Alanya Municipality,Alanya Chamber of Trade and Commerce,City Council Women Assembly Culture and Art Group near Red Tower on 7 May 2010 .
A Fabolous organization was implemented within the context of European Week Activities by Alanya Municipality,Alanya Chamber of Trade and Commerce,City Council Women Assembly Culture and Art Group near Red Tower on 7 May 2010 .Dyo undertook the painting sponsorship of the activity.
Local and foreign people who are living in our city showed an interest to the activity which has the title of “Greetings from Sun of Anatolia to the Stars of Europe”.Alanya Governor Hulusi Dogan,Alanya Mayor Deputy Kadriye Görücü and the Chairman of Alanya Chamber of Commerce Kerim Aydogan made a speech related to the meaning of the day.
20 Foreign and local participants from various countries painted on a canvas of 10.00x1.80 metres at the activity near Red Tower.A group from the foreign residents in Alanya vocalized the 9th Symphony of Beethoven which the national Anthem of European Union.
The main aim of the activity was to show that how art which is an universal language besides all languages and religions combines Turkish and European people as it is on the canvas and creating the colour of peace by conjoining in mutual universal emotions and greeting Europe by using the symbolic language of art. The programme was completed with a coctail after the chorus accompanied by Nuran Özcan and work of paint team accompanied by Akdeniz University Fine Arts Faculty Instructor Esma Civcir.
The Chairman of Alanya Chamber of Commerce Kerim Aydogan who made the first speech of the organization directed that Europe and whole world countries has very important responsibilities in order to establish the peace. Alanya Mayor Deputy Kadriye Görücü celabrated the staff who pulled their weight on the organization and emphasized the life of different cultures in peace and sistership.Alanya Governor Hulusi Dogan who made a speech after the Mayor Deputy began his speech by saying “If we search the history of Alanya,we can see that Alanya has been host for many civilizations”.He continued that citizens of many different countries lived in Alanya in peace and happiness.He completed his speech by saying that living together in peace was the most important life style of the people of this region.
“Colors of Europe” printed t-shirts were distributed at the festival.Besides that,it is announced that the promotional materials and stamps would be printed related with the accrued painting and the paint would be exhibited at Alanya Culture Center for one week.
