Passengers from Holland which who were the first landing to Gazipaşa from abroad were welcomed with flowers. Boeing 737 – 700 model airplane which is belonged to Transavia Airlines landed to Gazipasa Airport at 20:25 with its 149 passengers.There was a ceremony at the airport for this flight because it was first international charter to Gazipaşa.The passengers were welcomed by the authorities accompanied by the traditional folk dance performances.Flowers and small gifts were given to the tourists.
Alanya Mayor Hasan Sipahioglu, the governor of Gazipaşa Mr. Muhittin Pamuk, the mayor of Gazipaşa Mr. Cem Burak Ozgenç,The Chairman of Alanya Touristic Hoteliers Association Mrs. Gulçin Guner,the representatives of non govermental organizations,businessman and the foreign residents in Alanya participated to the ceremony at the airport.
Alanya Mayor Hasan Sipahioğlu went to welcome the plane with the reise buro workers and 132 journalists from Holland who are staying in Alanya for three days.He also said that 27 th of April is very important for Alanya and it is very sensitive that 700-800 people rented a bus to see the first flight in Gazipaşa.He added that the runway was tested and the prejudices for the runway was disappeared by the landing of this airplane which ahs totally 169 passengers including its staff.
