Corendon implemented its first test flight with 189 people of Boeing 737-800 type airplane to Alanya-Gazipaşa Airport from Antalya.Hasan Sipahioğlu joined to the first flight which is expected to quicken the tourism facilities and said “ The common dream of Alanya,Gazipaşa and Anamur came true”.

The plane wasa welcomed by Gazipaşa Governor Muhittin Pamuk,Airport Management Coordinator Cengiz Aşıklı and many citizens with a flourish of trumphets.Boeing 737-800 Plane with the name of “We love Alanya” and under the control of pilot Erhan Bayram got off the ground from Antalya at 10.00 and landed to Gazipaşa Airport with its 189 passengers at 10.45. The permission for 737-700 Planes were given for the pist because of its lenght but then after extending the lenght of the pist,the permission the first 737-800 Plane with its 189 passengers landed to airport.
189 passengers including Antalya Deputy Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu; Alanya Mayor Hasan Sipahioğlu;Corendon Tourism co-founder,the chairman of Corendon Airlines and General Director Yıldıray Karaer;Gazipaşa Mayor Cemburak Özgenç; Anamur Mayor Mehmet Ture;The Chairman of Turkish Cycling Federation;90 Tourists from Holland and the representatives of private sector and non governmental oganizations joined the first flight to Gazipaşa Airport.

Antalya Deputy Mevlut Cavusoglu made a speech after the flight and said “We measured Gazipaşa Airport up after long struggles.The plane we are in is Boeing 737-800 type plane with a capacity of 189 passengers.The most common plane type which the companies have in their hands.After landing of this flight,other companies started to call us.We hope that Gazipaşa Airport will be serving for region tourism soon.”

When our prime minister visited here,one of the three promises of him was opening of Gazipaşa Airport.Now that promise came real.Today,the dream of Alanya,Gazipaşa and Anamur came true.Now its the turn of tour operators.We are ready to give maximum support for the development of this region.I hope the future term will be very beneficial for Alanya.I wish safe and sound flights.I would like to offer my sincere thanks to our prime minister,our deputy Mr. Mevlut Cavusoglu and citizens of Alanya”
THE GOAL IS 500 THOUSANDS OF PASSENGERS The Chairman of Corendon Airlines and General Director Yıldıray Karaer made a speech and said “I think that Alanya and the surrounding will cover ground beginning with this flight.We will implement our first flight on 20 April.As Corendon Airlines,we are planning 420 thousands of passengers from Holland and Belgium.100 thousands of it will be Gazipaşa.We are going to bring passengers twice in a week both to Antalya and Gazipaşa.Our goal is to reach 500 thousands. |
