By the leadership of FEEE in the international arena and coordination of Turkish Environment Foundation (TURCEV) “Blue Flag Environmental Award” which is given to beaches and marinas is currently located in 4 beaches in our town. Keykubat Beach, Damlatas Beach, Eastern Cleopatra Beach and Western Cleopatra Beach obtained the right to get the Blue Flag. Alanya Environmental Training and Blue Flag (ALCED) President Serefnur Kayhan and the board members visited Alanya Mayor Hasan Sipahioglu today. Also accompanied by the Environment Wellness Directorship members, ALCED President Serefnur Kayhan delivered the blue flags to Mayor Hasan Sipahioglu that are given to four different beaches in our town. Mayor Hasan Sipahioglu informing the press about the blue Flag said “As occurred every year, a commission consisting of Turkey Environmental Training Foundation (TURCEV), Antalya Region Coordination, Antalya Provincial Wellness Directorship Food and Environment Section and Tourism Provincial Directorship has determined the shortcomings of the blue flag beaches by inspecting the sea samples periodically. As a result of the inspections the shortcomings at 4 beaches eliminated by the evaluation and analysis of Antalya Provincial Directorship every 15 days and tracked by Environmental Wellness Directorship reported on the Blue Flag Panels. In this way, our citizens, native and foreign visitors were informed.” Sipahioglu also added “As of this year, the arrangements at the Blue Flagged Beaches will be 125 m from right and 125 m from left beginning from the lifeguard towers. The borders are limited with international yellow and red flags. In spite of all these, we will show great care and maximum effort in the frame of our services and take the necessary measures as Municipality and ALCED. |
