Living in Halle-Germany and spending her vacations in Alanya working on Social projects and writing articles in a newspaper as well, Gerda Oyen praised Alanya in German newspapers. Mayor Hasan Sipahioglu presented a gratitude plaquette to Gerda Oyen for her support and sympathy for Alanya and remarked on Oyen’s being a volunteered publicity envoy, a Turkish comrade and a helping hand. Alanya Foreigners’ Department Board spokesman Julia Alaettinoglu was also present during the plaquette ceremony. Last year, Oyen meeting with Alanya Mayor Hasan Sipahioglu and explaining her projects also worked on volunteered projects when she returned. Gerda Oyen giving information about her contacts with Halle Mayor, she also provided Mayor to attend Halle Handelsfestspielen festival and was very glad to host him.
