Flowers took place in our lives throught the ages in all over the worlds as a tool which representing the emotions,decreasing the strees and reducing the neural tensionTulip which is a bulbous plant is thought to come from Middle Asia and brought to Anatolia by Turkish people.Mevlana Celaleddin-i Rumi was the first poet who used the tulip in his poetries.There are many lines about tulip in his poetries.Tulip had its most powerful age between 16th and 18th century during the Ottoman Empire.The usage of tulip as a decoration plant and decoration art was at the peak during the era of Ahmet 3.The years between 1718 and 1730 was named as a "Tulip Age" by the historians."Lale Mecmuası" at that time illustrated 50 different type of tulip.Some sources declare that there are more than 2000 various types of tulip.Tulip is not only cultivated but also used in different sectors like literature,architecture,ceramic tile and textile. Tulip gardens were the most attractive places of the palaces and the poetries and proses were collected in booklets named "Lalename" The first trip of tulip from Anatolia was to Wien.Tulip has became popular by going to Ottowa after Holland.The last stop of this trip Ottowa and Japan arrange festivals for the tulip.Tulip continues to its duty as a bridge between different cultures by showing its own beauty and delicacy.
