It is on the way interconnecting Red Tower and Tophane
Neighborhood. It took this name because of extricated the dead of old Alanya
city from this gate and performing their funeral prayers at coffin rest in
front of it. Due to being region of Red Tower – Cannon House Axis area, port
trade and defense and houses located at Tophane Neighborhood, this gate in
history was used by only members of military and naval members and port
employees.
