Historical site 24 km away to the city center of Alanya is
situated on 850 m height above the sea level of Cebeli Reis Mountain, which has
1649 m altitude. The oldest find historically is a piece of an inscription,
written in Phonecian language, to 7th century BC. This piece and a military
diploma (138 AD.) belonging to a different era is exhibited in Alanya
Archeological Museum.
Reaching from 2nd century AD, in which was the most popular
time of Laertes, to present, is Caracalla exadra, agora, bath, Odeon, sacred
place of Zeus Megistos, Apollo temple, large cistern, Sezar temple built for a
symbol of blessing in agoras, military towers, underground structure, emperors street,
houses and necropolis area. By structures of Roman period, slightly traces for
Byzantine settlements can still be seen.
