Sarapsa Khan, 15 km west of Alanya, is situated on a hill at
Alanya – Antalya highway. There is a minaret similar to watchtower on east of
the structure with rectangular plan. Becoming type of ten (10) sectioned khan,
durability of north and south walls of the structure, which entirely made with
stone and its top closed with open – coped form, is increased by placing props
from the outside. Last section on left of the khan is a small mosque, which its
door opens to north, and also a guesthouse. According to the inscription above
the door, khan and small mosque adjacent to it were constructed in period of
Kaykhusraw II, son of Alaeddin Kayqubad I. Year of construction was not
determined in the inscription.
